Our Initiatives
Bring a Windphone to Life
We Did It — And We’re Just Getting Started
Our first Wind Phone is now installed at Reflection Park, the first all-natural burial ground in Silver Spring, Maryland. This space now lives quietly in nature, offering visitors a place to reflect, remember, and speak to loved ones — with their words carried by the wind.
This milestone was made possible because of your support. Thank you for helping bring this vision to life.
Now, we’re building what comes next.
How your support helps:
-
Expand Wind Phones to more communities across Maryland and beyond
-
Launch a pilot program bringing Wind Phones into public schools
-
Fund a children’s book to help kids understand and process grief
-
Support the thoughtful design and craftsmanship of each installation
Our goal:
$10,000.
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps bring this vision to life.

Help Young Readers Understand Grief
As part of our mission to support healing and connection, The Little Wind Phone Project is developing a children’s book to help young readers gently understand and process grief.
Inspired by the spirit of the Wind Phone—a place where words to the departed can still be spoken—this illustrated story will offer comfort, normalize emotional responses to loss, and encourage open conversations between children and their caregivers.
Created in collaboration with grief counselors and educators, the book will serve as a meaningful resource for families, schools, and therapists—helping children know that it’s okay to feel, remember, and continue loving, even after goodbye.
