About
The Little Wind Phone Project
Our Organization
The Little Wind Phone Project is a new initiative born from a deep appreciation for the original Wind Phone in Japan and the profound comfort it has brought to those navigating grief. Inspired by this quiet symbol of remembrance, our project seeks to bring Wind Phones to public spaces across the U.S.—offering communities a simple, accessible way to
process loss, reflect in solitude, and reconnect with loved ones who are no longer physically present.

Each Wind Phone installation serves as an invitation to pause, speak freely, and find moments of peace in nature. By building and supporting these spaces, The Little Wind Phone Project fosters healing not just for individuals, but for communities as a whole. Through collective care and shared presence, we believe even the quietest conversations can lead to powerful restoration.
Mission Statement
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to fostering moments of peace, reflection, and connection. Inspired by the original Wind Phone in Japan, we bring this idea to communities everywhere, making grief more approachable and healing more accessible.

Vision Statement
A world where every community has accessible spaces for quiet contemplation and meaningful connection through the gentle presence of wind phones, inspiring mindfulness and an appreciation for natural soundscapes.
